Addactis acquires namR insurance business and unique capabilities to offer unparalleled climate risk solutions for home insurance
Paris, May 15th, 2025 – Addactis, the RiskTech for Insurance, is thrilled to announce the acquisition of namR’s insurance business, a pioneering provider of climate data analysis and building-based risk assessment tools. This strategic move positions Addactis at the forefront of addressing climate-related challenges in the insurance industry. Addactis and namR have been deeply collaborating for the past 6 years on innovative solutions for home insurance in France.
This acquisition strengthens Addactis’s Data & AI division by augmenting its current AI team with six additional data scientists from namR.
By integrating cutting-edge building-based data and analytics for 36 million buildings in France into our existing climate risk framework, Addactis aims to:
- Develop more accurate and comprehensive climate risk assessments for portfolio insights, prevention, and foresight
- Continue to develop innovative insurance solutions to compute risk as a combination of climate risk and building vulnerability
- Provide insurers with actionable tools and strategies to enable stronger insurability of territories, thanks to better risk mutualization, in France and soon in other European countries
